The Mooselen Barometer
A monthly reading of fashion and luxury resale momentum
The Mooselen Barometer is a monthly composite score of fashion and luxury resale momentum, baseline 100 at launch. It is a transparent market signal inside the intelligence platform, published with the running chart and supporting pillar notes.
What it measures
Three pillars, all from public data, each scored against its trailing twelve-month average, then weighted and combined.
Growth (40 percent). Reported year-over-year revenue or gross merchandise value growth of the public resale companies, averaged and updated each earnings season.
Capital (30 percent). The count and disclosed value of funding rounds, acquisitions, and public listings announced in resale and recommerce that month.
Expansion (30 percent). The count of new brand resale program launches, resale-as-a-service partnerships, and market entries announced that month.
How it is published
Every monthly reading lists the inputs that moved it. The methodology here states the pillars, weights, and inputs in full, because transparency is what lets the number stand on its own. The Mooselen Barometer is editorial analysis of public information, not investment advice.
