This Privacy Policy explains how Mooselen collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you visit mooselen.com, subscribe to Mooselen publications, create an account, purchase a membership, or otherwise interact with Mooselen.
1. Information we collect
The information Mooselen collects depends on how you use the service.
Information you provide
We may collect information you provide directly, including:

- Organization name
- Team membership and role
- Newsletter and communication preferences
- Companies, articles, or research you save or follow
- Watchlists and other account content
- Messages and support requests you send to Mooselen
- Billing and subscription information associated with your account
Payment-card information is submitted directly to our payment-processing provider. Mooselen does not store complete payment-card numbers.
Information collected through use of the service
When you visit or use Mooselen, we may automatically receive limited technical and operational information, including:

- Requested pages and files
- Dates and times of access
- Referring page or website
- Session and authentication information
- Error, security, and abuse-prevention logs
- Actions taken within a Mooselen account

When you join a Mooselen Teams account, designated organization owners or administrators may be able to view:

Personal watchlists and private account information should not be visible to other organization members unless the service clearly identifies them as shared.
Legal and safety disclosures
Mooselen may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request
- Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Enforce agreements
- Protect the rights, property, and safety of Mooselen, its users, or others
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims
Business transfers

You may unsubscribe from nonessential email by using the unsubscribe link in the message or changing available account preferences.
Unsubscribing from editorial or promotional email does not automatically close a Mooselen account or cancel a paid membership.
6. Data retention
Mooselen retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
In general:
- Account information is retained while the account remains active.
- Membership and transaction records may be retained after cancellation when needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
- Authentication and security logs are retained for a limited period appropriate to security and abuse prevention.
- Newsletter information is retained until the subscriber unsubscribes or the record is no longer needed to maintain suppression and delivery records.
- Support correspondence may be retained while the matter is active and for a limited period afterward.
- Deleted information may remain temporarily in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten through ordinary retention processes.
Mooselen may retain anonymized or aggregated information that no longer identifies an individual.

8. Your choices and requests
You may contact Mooselen to request:

- Deletion of your account and associated personal information

- Closure of your membership account

9. Do Not Track and cross-site tracking
Some browsers provide a "Do Not Track" setting.
Mooselen does not track users across unrelated websites for third-party behavioral advertising. Because there is no universally accepted technical standard for Do Not Track signals, the website may not respond differently when such a signal is received.
Other parties do not use Mooselen to collect information about your activities over time across unrelated websites for third-party behavioral advertising.
10. International access
Mooselen is operated from the United States.
If you access Mooselen from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where service providers operate.
Privacy rights differ by jurisdiction. Mooselen will process verified privacy requests as required by applicable law.
11. Children's privacy
Mooselen is intended for business and professional users and is not intended for children under 16.
Mooselen does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@mooselen.com so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
12. Third-party links
Mooselen articles and research may link to third-party websites, sources, and publications.
Mooselen does not control the privacy practices of those third parties. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy notices.
13. Changes to this Policy
Mooselen may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, legal obligations, or data practices.
